Your One Stop for All the Chris Berman Craziness

UPDATE 3: The videos have been pulled from YouTube, but I've got another site's videos embedded where I can now...
Sometimes I get so wrapped up into the intermets that I forget that even though I have seen a video roll through like 30 times, there are still a large number of people that haven't seen it. For instance, did you know that there are these funny videos of respected moderately annoying ESPN anchor Chris Berman showing up on the intermist? Well, I realized today that even though I have seen the videos a bunch of times, a bunch of you guys haven't. And even if you have, they are scattered all over the web - too many to even give a hat tip. So I'm gonna put them all in one place (there's a bunch of them and if you really don't care about Berman, you can always roll to the last video which has nothing to do with him).

The videos are apparently from some guy posting on YouTubes under the name Ampex2000 and he did an interview with Deadspin where he said he might post one more. You can even bookmark this page - I'll update it when it shows up (or you can just wait for the post to reappear your reader).

The first video that was posted (I think) is Berman just yelling at everyone in the studio. He references the Son of our Lord a lot in this one so exercise some caution and use some headphones. Pretty sure there's an f-bomb in there too.



Nothing like an explosive d-bag as your "lead" anchor/personality. That video pissed off the some religious group (again) and they protested at ESPN on Monday. The next video is Berman complaining again about the prompter. He comes off like a real jackass on this one. That said, this is the mildest of the videos.

He doesn't seem like a fun guy to work with. My favorite video of the collection is the next one. In it, Berman just drops a bunch of f-bombs, which makes me laugh. They aren't censored, so exercise caution.



If you've ever wanted to know what a "duh-duh-duh" or how to smuggle drugs in from Canada, Berman will tell you how (see, you can even learn something today).



If I had been working with Berman up to this point, I probably could have used some of those 222's. This next one is really boring and I wouldn't recommend watching it (but for the sake of completeness I've included it) - it is Berman trying to use his "celebrity" status to get a table setup for his friends. It is the longest of the videos, and, like I said, not worth it.



The next video is Berman being kinda creepy, talking to a chick that desperately wants out of the conversation. He tries to sound all fancy with his wine talk, but the best part of the video comes 31 seconds in.

UPDATE: There's been a new video posted today (Tuesday). In this one Berman is clearly not happy with one of the most respected announcers in football history, Al Michaels. Standard NSFW language in this one.



UPDATE 2: Turns out ESPN says they don't care

Honestly, I kinda feel bad for Berman. He annoys me now, but I used to think he was really funny. I just imagine Berman as a grown up, successful version of Seth from Superbad. Speaking of Superbad, the Line-O-Rama feature (where they just do several takes on funny lines throughout the movie) from the DVD's extra features finally made it to the intermets and I've included it below because I think its funny. You'll prolly need headphones on this one because of the language.

Casual Dress Friday: No Longer Will Sticking It In Be Allowed

It's a Casual Dress Friday and I'm gonna fill you into a little secret about myself: I don't follow Virginia Tech football. I never really disliked or liked them, but I always rooted for them to beat those bastards down at Miami. Obviously, I knew about the pre-dogfighting Vick brothers, Frank Beamer's face and their special teams, but not much else. One rumor I had heard about Virginia Tech football home games was that fans would chant "Stick it In" in goal line situations. I never really believed it though, and I assumed that, even if it did happen, it was a small portion of people. Well, thanks to a sweet find from The Wizard of Odds I now have proof that this happens.



It turns out that the band actually plays a song called "Stick It In" that people would chant with. Impressive (Nebraska band, you should be taking notes).

Unfortunately, I will never get to experience this tradition as Virginia Tech administration has outlawed sticking it in because they deem it lude. Bush league, VT. Real bush. I guess I'll have to go to Oregon. What's next, are you going to be eliminating your sensitivity training?



See what happens? If you tell people they can't stick it in, then they're gonna find other ways to express themselves. Next thing you know, you're gonna end up with guys like this that graduate from your university.



Ok, so I have no clue whether he graduated from VT, in fact, I would guess he didn't, but he is in Bowling Green, KY which is close enough. Fortunately, I am now distracted by ridiculous news clips like this from the World Wide Leader.



I guess that's not so much ridiculous as it is a blooper. I'm impressed that ESPN doesn't run on a tape delay to catch stuff like that. You'd think everyone would run on at least a little tape delay, lest something like this should happen.



Ah, yes. Nothing like a little Chuck Storm to finish out the week.

Week In Recap: King Size Me

Its the return of the week in recap! Actually, I just decided its not worth writing a recap whenever I only post a couple times a week. Anyway, on Friday, my wife and I had a king size bed delivered. Now, some of you that know my wife and I may be asking "Why in the hell do you two need a king size bed?" Well, it turns out that my wife is bed-hog and she tries to sleep on our entire queen. As a result, we decided to upgrade to a bigger bed. Of course, my dog will still try to sleep right next to me, no matter how much room there is on the bed.

Even though we got the bed on Friday, we haven't had a chance to sleep on it yet - we've been in Omaha all weekend (and we didn't have any sheets that fit it anyway). We're going back tonight, so it will be awesome to finally get our first night's rest on the king bed. But, enough about me...

On Monday, I told you about my weekend in Kansas City, including my trip to a gay bar.

I gave you a glimpse at QVC, a channel I've started watching again, on Wednesday.

Friday was a quick post (pictures!) - in which I complained about JoJo's response to Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls". I also included a clip from a terrible X-Games accident where a guy walked away. I watched a little bit more this weekend and saw this, called the "Kiss of Death Backflip." Pretty Bad Ass.

Week in Recap: ESPY's

Tonight I am over at my old house watching Entourage. We just finished up watching the ESPY's. The parts I saw were actually pretty good (except that everyone kept mispronouncing the names). This was probably the best thing that ESPN has generated in a while - and way, way, way better than the BS "Who's Now" crap. That stuff is so bad that even NewsWeek took a shot at the World Wide Leader. I won't elaborate on the issue too much because I think that article covers it pretty well, but I will say this - I used to love ESPN, now I watch as little as possible.

Anyway, here is one of my favorite moments of the ESPY's, Jamie Foxx singing to Serena Williams (which is funny regardless of whether you think she is hot or a man-beast).

On Wednesday, I returned from my unplanned vacation during my move with an awesome Die Hard music video.

Friday, we took a look at R. Kelly's DVD special on Trapped in the Closet. Also, sorry about the F-bomb, I was just really pissed about the lack of tacos/kolatches.
