I was a very not happy person last night (I don't wanna talk about it). Fortunately, I finished running (I ran 7 more miles than planned, but whatever) and was able to come back and find a couple videos to cheer me up. So, I've passed them along to you.
The first is a red band trailer for the upcoming Will Ferrell movie, Step Brothers. It's definitely NSFW.
Does Will Ferrell change character? No. Will it make me laugh? Yes.
Here's another video ridiculous movie related video. Here's Arnold's commentary related to Conan: The Barbarian. It's worth a watch. Trust me.
Finally, here's a Different Strokes episode featuring the A-Team (that means Mr. T is there folks). Oh yeah, it's also dubbed over in Japanese. If you ever wanted to hear what Mr. T sounds like in Japan, here's your chance.

Crazy Marshmallow Game
Most of us have played some sort of ridiculous marshmallow game. Well, a few weeks ago, I saw this crazy Japanese marshmallow game on the intermets. It's 6 minutes long and well worth every second.
Well, Ellen, who's cool with me since she banging Portia de Rossi, decided to recreate this game with middle-aged white women.
We learned a few things today:
1) Middle-aged white women on Ellen are decidedly less funny than middle-aged Japanese men
2) The faces of Japanese men are a lot funnier when strained by a rubber band than the those of the aforementioned women (or the rubber band was just looser on Ellen's show)
3) Recreating an awesome Japanese video takes more than just a rubber band and a kimono.
I've decided I can't leave you with that video (plus I didn't post yesterday), so here's a ridiculous Japanese show/video thingy.

Post #300: It's vs. Its....and Crazy Japanese Stuff
Simple math lesson to start the day. If you add up the post numbers on the side under the "Previously on the Skeet Thrower" section, what number to you get?
300! (For those of you reading this through a reader, you'll just have to trust me).
That's right its post #300, and it only took me around 290 or so to get the its versus it's thing squared away. For some reason I had those two mixed up. I'm not grammar crazy or anything, but that kinda stuff bothers me. I don't know.
Anyway, its the big 300, but I don't have any major site changes like #200 when I changed the layout and the style of posting. That said, I think I have something better coming - it will be here on Friday (I was going to try and time it so that it coincided with this post, but I decided to keep posting rather than have a bunch of empty days) - a new feature that will alter your Fridays forever...or whenever I post them. Also, I plan to start unveiling the 2K8 BCS lists, so be on the lookout for those.
Celebrating the 300th post is kinda like turning 24 - not really that big of a deal. So without any further ado, here's just a standard post, I guess.
You may or may not know, but spring training for baseball started last week. In honor of that, here's an awesome video from the 1986 LA Dodgers - as you can imagine, its ridiculous.
While we the crazy Dodgers/Bears were making those videos in the 80's, let's see what Japan does for baseball today.
Pretty weird, huh? Speaking of weird/funny, if you haven't seen Japan's version of "We Are The World," you need to watch this now.
Thanks for reading, whether this is your first post or your 300th...and keep coming back.

I'm a Man...
...and I pee standing up (you thought I was gonna go with the I'm Forty line there, didn't you? Well, I gotcha then). What does this have to do with anything? Well, I'll get you there, but, first, answer this question: Have you ever laughed at Engrish? If you laughed at the picture on the left (either previously, just now or both), then you have enjoyed Engrish, which is basically incoherent English from our friends in Japan (two references to Japan in two days!). Apparently direct translations to English from Asian languages don't work out and, often, result in hilarious outcomes. For instance, take this picture from Arrested Development where the Chinese subtitles where translated directly to English.
The actual line spoken there? "What is wrong with you?" That's awesomeness. What does all this have to do with standing up while you relieve yourself? I'm getting there. Anyway, beyond Engrish, Japan is known for churning out some pretty sweet video game stuff. Of course, porting games directly from Japanese to English can have some pretty hilarious results as well. If you've played games before, you are probably familiar with the phrase "All Your Base Are Belong To Us."
That's an actual video game (sadly, the voices were added for the video). Still failing to see the connection to #1 here? Well, let me introduce a product called Urinelle to you. I won't tell you what the product does (but if you can't figure it out based on what I've been talking about this entire post, then you're struggling at life), I'll just let this video do the talking. Oh, and while you're watching this, listen to the chorus.
That's right, the chorus of that advertisement is "All your base are belong to us, all you base belong to us, now." I'm not sure what that means. On a side note, I once had a chick come into the dudes bathroom and pee next to me at San Antonio's version of Mardi Gras (SFW). She was way hot, but definitely didn't have one of these and ended up peeing all over herself which was embarrassing for everyone there. In any case, I'm not sure that I would recommend these things for anyone, but hey, I'm a man, and I pee standing up.
See I tied it all together for you. Besides, where else will you get to see a chick pee while standing and a video about a video game all in one day.

I Love Japanese Stereotypes
I have written about ridiculous Asian stereotypes before. They always make me laugh. Always (in fact, the video from that link made me laugh, hard, again). The crazy Japanese are the ones that always perpetuate these crazy stereotypes with their shows and commercials. But these Fanta commercials may take the cake.
And I thought American Fanta commercials were crazy... Here's another Japanese commercial with no stereotypes just for good measure.

I Am A Real (US) American*
You may have heard that Hulk Hogan's son drove like a chick derka and crashed his car. It apparently is pretty serious (as compared to idiot, Eddie Griffin). So, what better way to cheer the Hulkster (NSF Anyone) up, than to celebrate some of the best clips of a Real US American (if you have 3 minutes, that is a true must watch - the video rivals David Hasselhoff's - and, perhaps sadly, I have listened to Hulk's video like 8 times straight while writing this). Let's begin - countdown please:
Ok, that wasn't so much of a countdown as it was a singing of the days of the week, but what do you expect from Hulk. The man has wrestled so much (and been on roids so long) - you can't expect him to know the difference between a countdown and the days of the week. But I digress, it seems that Hulk's career has been filled with all sorts of ridiculousness, like appearances on talk shows (do you remember when wrestlers used to be guests on Arsenio.) The best part of that Hulk/Arsenio clip may be the fact that Hulk says that Arsenio will be around for a long time and that Letterman sucks. He really should lay off the roids (and apparently the man meat). Of course, at times it was Hulk's ridiculous statements that made him endearing and hilarious (well, that and the fact that he was being serious). For instance, take this interview with Randy Savage, who may or may not be a hobo.
If you're like me, you spent that entire video hoping that one of those guys didn't blow a muscle/blood vein/have a brain aneurysm. Anyway, lucky for both Hulk's dignity and us, it wasn't just Hulk that said ludicrous things. Take this scene from his movie "No Holds Barred."
Weren't Hulk's movie roles/cameos the best. By the way, if you're counting, that's two Hulk music video links in one day (three if you count that days of the week/fake countdown thing). I don't know if you watched that second one, but it was broadcast from one of the WWF talk shows they used to have - with the worst acting ever (yes, worse than Hulk's). How did the WWF survive? Anyway, all these videos have made me hungry. Fortunately, Hulk can help me out with that as well.
Strange, I don't remember seeing Pastamania the last time I was in the Mall of America...
* Yes, this is a reference to one of the most ridiculous and over-covered stories. If you haven't seen the video of Miss South Carolina (Miss Teen USA 3rd-place finisher!), click here. She must have listened to Hulk's video as well.

Miss Universe 2007
Did you guys hear that Miss USA fell down in the Miss Universe competition (this is the same contest where Miss Puerto Rico, the winner, passed out last year)? If you didn't there's a clip here. Although I'm not sure how you didn't hear about it - it was everywhere. In any case, we all know the real reason people watch those competitions is for the bikinis (what do you think, NSFW).
What you may have missed in all of the coverage of the trip was that my boy Tony Romo was a judge. First, he bangs Carrie Underwood (she cleaned up nicely, huh), now he gets this. Dallas should be thanking God everyday that they have him because here is a video of Dallas' other mega-sports star:
One of those men was the NBA MVP last year. No wonder ratings are at an all-time low. By the way, did you guys here that Miss USA fell down at the Miss Universe competition?
Anyway, apparently the Miss Universe contest was tainted as Miss Sweden pulled out saying that these contests don't represent the modern woman (prolly NSFW). What in the hell did you think you were doing? You clearly had to win a few contests to get to this point - you waited until now to pull out? Don't you think that is a little late at this point? I mean once you get this far, it doesn't really hurt anymore to finish does it?
So, after the Miss Sweden pull out, Miss Japan (her job is: "dancer!") ended up wining the thing. Since when did we start letting the Asians beat us at anything. This is Miss Universe damnit. How do we not win this? Oh, you mean we've won the most all-time. Well, ok then, I guess.
Sadly, I didn't have the privelege of watching get to watch the Miss Universe pageant. Although, I wish I would have - did you guys hear that Miss USA tripped? My favorite part is always the Q&A (and why is it A.C. Slater not Zach Morris hosting this?), which rival the interviews given by the gladiators on American Gladiators.
Make sure you make it to the interview at the end of that clip. Outside of the interview, the best part of the clip may be the rare appearance by a backup gladiator, Bronco, who promptly gets his ass-kicked. Good times. Almost as good as Miss USA falling down - did you guys hear about that?

Casual Dress Friday: Spiderman or Supaidaaman
It's a casual dress Friday here at the Skeet Thrower and as you already know Spiderman 3 comes out today.
You all know how much I love TMNT, but Spiderman was also a cartoon I watched growing up (despite the weird theme song).
Anyway, I started doing some investigation for this post and found out that Power Rangers may actually be a Spiderman ripoff.
Want some proof? Here's Spiderman fighting what appears to be The Thing.
Right now you're saying, "So what. He has a car and the bad guy got huge." That's what she said. My response: Watch this clip.
How is that not Power Rangers? Spiderman doesn't have a big freaking robot! Turns out, that the Japanese call this guy Supaidaaman and he fights bad guys or boy bands (seriously!). This may be the most ridiculous show on TV. Honestly, that last clip (the one on ridiculous) is the best one (featuring a half-Shredder/half-Dr. Doom guy) - you need to watch that. I have no clue what is going on there.
After a little more research, Spiderman (along with some mix of the Avengers) apparently spawned the original Power Rangers, Battle Fever J.
Thank god we make the movies.
