Casual Dress Friday: Spiderman or Supaidaaman

It's a casual dress Friday here at the Skeet Thrower and as you already know Spiderman 3 comes out today.

You all know how much I love TMNT, but Spiderman was also a cartoon I watched growing up (despite the weird theme song).

Anyway, I started doing some investigation for this post and found out that Power Rangers may actually be a Spiderman ripoff.

Right now you're saying, "So what. He has a car and the bad guy got huge." That's what she said. My response: Watch this clip.



How is that not Power Rangers? Spiderman doesn't have a big freaking robot! Turns out, that the Japanese call this guy Supaidaaman and he fights bad guys or boy bands (seriously!). This may be the most ridiculous show on TV. Honestly, that last clip (the one on ridiculous) is the best one (featuring a half-Shredder/half-Dr. Doom guy) - you need to watch that. I have no clue what is going on there.

After a little more research, Spiderman (along with some mix of the Avengers) apparently spawned the original Power Rangers, Battle Fever J.

Thank god we make the movies.
